I just want to laugh again…

A fine time to be singing old KoRn songs, but whatever it takes to get through the night.  That’s assuming, of course, that the sun will set and darkness will descend.  Even though I got up extremely late, this day has seemed to stretch out the length of three.  Up, down, up again, down farther.  If it keeps up, ShAkEs may show her ugly head.  Bless her alcoholic soul - she is my inner jester.  There only for the most extreme of situations, and I mean asteroid-hitting-the-planet kind of chaos.  If it ever gets to that point, I’ll be glad to give her back the reins.  Until then - I hid the key really really well.  Merely flustered tonight, so the rainbow wig and foam nose are staying in my closet.

I dared to venture outside today.  Lasted an hour in the sun’s rays, and I wasn’t packin’ protection.  I fear bees more than skin cancer or Lyme disease.  Not allergic - just terrified.  I wear unscented everything, and don drab colors.  Still look like I’m dancing to Megadeth trying to dodge them.  I fear to think how many times the neighbors have heard me cursing the air at “nothing”.

I’m uncharacteristically busy these days, which makes it an odd time to start a blog.  Tried to time it with my sobriety date but mixed my weeks up.  Doesn’t matter.  I’m just preoccupied.  It does pour when it rains, and I put my trout boots on this morning.  Not to add to the atmosphere of anxiety up here right now, but it’s supposed to storm tomorrow.  Grab the disaster supplies and head to the basement!  Total phobic here - one who wants to overcome it.  I’ve seen tornadoes in delirium tremens.

It feels like a storm is on the way.  Way too calm.  I will stay the course in my usual manner - by listening to my minstrels and pulling on yarn.  I received a wonderful book in the mail today on knitted teddy bears.  I’ve crocheted them for many years.  I also bought “The Essential Guide to Color Knitting Techniques” by Margaret Radcliffe.  Looks like exactly what I’ve been searching for.

Have a wonderful Saturday, People.  I know I will.
